Based on the geology and hydrogeology, the chemical characteristics of phreatic water in Yinchuan plain are analyzed according to the analysis results of 272 water samples collected in 2003. The factors controlling the composition of phreatic water are investigated. Results show the TDS, concentrations of Na+, Cl-of phreatic water generally increase along the direction from SW to NE, the chemical types changes in the sequences of HCO3 -HCO3 -+SO4 2-SO4 2-+HCO3 -SO4 2-+Cl-Cl-+SO4 2-. The factors controlling and affecting the chemical composition of phreatic water in Yinchuan plain are mainly geological and hydrogeological conditions, the composition of recharge water, the soluble salt content of soils, water-rock interaction, and concentration by evaporation. To improve the quality of phreatic water in Yinchuan Plain, the development intensity of shallow groundwater should be increased, so as to lower the level of groundwater further and quicken its circulation.

The factors controlling the composition of phreatic water are investigated. This paper discusses the different depth and different area groundwater, the results indicate that, at the same groundwater flowing system, the different area and different depth, the sulfate isotope characteristics of groundwater have lots of differences, these differences indicate that the two area groundwater have the different source and the different process of minerals dissolve, and the hydraulic power between the two area groundwater is very weak.

In order to solve the measurement error, low efficiency and poor consistency problem in traditional contact measuring on the measuring of end surface of turnout rail parts size, a method which was based on machine vision to realize the non-contact type size measurement was provided. Firstly, appropriate industrial CCD and camera lens suitable for the actual situation of the end surface of turnout rail parts black and white image was acquired assisting with the forward illumination light; Secondly, the contour of the end surface in the image was extracted joining with mathematical morphology and dynamic threshold; Lastly, the actual size of rail end was got combined with the result of the camera calibration. The experimental results show the method can obtain the more precise value in the size measurement of the end surface of turnout rail parts.

With the development of energy base in Ordos basin, the deficiency of groundwater becomes serious. Therefore, the hydrogeochemical evolution of groundwater is studied, which is in the Dusit-Yanchi watery system. Some results are obtained. The quality of groundwater in Dusit river system is better, and in the aquifer, the main water-rock action is the solution of gypsum, fluorite, and siderite, and the precipitation of calcite and dolomite.
